Jeanette's career has always been surrounded by children, working in Early Childhood. She found herself after one macrame class a creative outlet where she began to place energy into making pieces for gifts with a sentimental value for family and friends. She has also introduced clay to her work and has enjoyed combining the materials and watching her work come together.
Growing up in the Southwest region of Victoria on a dairy farm Jeanette has always had a love for nature, creative arts and the simple things in life, like spending time with family and friends and celebrating successes of those that she loves and who inspire her.
“We often focus on our own successes, but celebrating a friend’s achievements is just as important.”
Jeanette’s career has always been surrounded by children, working in Early Childhood Education for 24 years. But her passion for art has always been there too, so in her spare time she would create gifts for family and friends including nursery room paintings, upcycling furniture and household items as the family farm was and still is full of treasures.
In 2011, Jeanette moved to Far North Queensland, where she settled. Looking for a new creative outlet Jeanette found herself participating in a macrame class and from there a new passion was found, she began to place her creative energy into making gifts for family and friends along with decor for her own home. Recently Jeanette has also introduced clay to her work and has enjoyed combining the materials and watching her work come together.
